Things You Didn't Know You Could Do With AI — Part 1
The 3 Hidden Buckets of AI Superpowers

Welcome to the kickoff of the “Things You Didn’t Know You Could Do with AI” series!
Each part, I'll break down practical, lesser-known ways you can tap into AI — no matter your background — with real tools and workflows you can use immediately.
Today, we’re setting the foundation.
You’ve probably used AI to write, brainstorm, or design...
But did you know most AI capabilities fall into 3 hidden buckets?
Understanding this changes how you approach everything you build with AI.
Here they are:
🛠️ 1. Create
This is the most familiar bucket.
AI acts as your author, artist, or video editor — producing something new from scratch.
Some examples:
Brainstorming blog ideas
Drafting full video scripts
Designing logos and thumbnails
Writing faceless video voiceovers
Generating full blog articles or newsletters
Tools to explore:
ChatGPT (creative writing, ad ideas)
Midjourney / DALL-E (art and logos)
RunwayML (video generation)

All 3 are AI Generated!
Pro Tip:
Before you ask AI to "create," ask it first to brainstorm multiple concepts. Often, the second or third idea is the hidden gem.
🧠 2. Synthesize
Here, AI acts as your translator or processor, turning messy information into clear, useful outputs.
Examples include:
Summarizing 100-page PDFs
Turning webinars into blog posts
Converting meeting transcripts into case studies
Creating mind maps from research papers
Tools to explore:
Gamma.app (turn notes into presentations)
Claude (summarize documents beautifully)
NotebookLM (PDFs into podcasts)

Pro Tip:
Don’t just ask AI to “summarize” — specify the format you want:
("Summarize into a checklist", "Turn this into a case study", etc.)
🧠 3. Reason
This is where AI gets scary good — and most people don’t realize it.
AI becomes your strategic consultant, quality reviewer, or critical thinker.
Examples:
Simulating how different customer personas would react to your landing page
Auditing if your website matches your brand voice
Predicting user behavior from product usage data
Finding red flags in contracts
Tools to explore:
Claude (project mode for persona simulations)
ChatGPT Advanced Data Analysis (EDA, forecasting)
Deep Research Mode in Perplexity, Gemini

Pro Tip:
Give AI reference material first (brand guidelines, customer personas, examples) — and it can reason against that for much sharper outputs.
🚀 Why This Matters
Instead of learning 50 tools and feeling overwhelmed…
Master these 3 buckets — and any AI tool becomes a weapon in your workflow.
Starting next issue:
We dive straight into wild new things you can create with AI — including how people are generating ad creatives, comic strips, infographics, and viral UGC videos.
